Looks great. My wife is a pinay and we both miss eating breakfasts like this.

So is mine! Luckily we live in San Diego, with a wealth of Filipino culture and restaurants/grocery stores!

If you like bacon… you’ve got to try Guanciale or Pancetta (cube cuts are good) and scramble some eggs. This is typically the meat used for Carbonara if you don’t have a frame of reference. I guess Carbonara is technically a breakfast food for miners? Huh…

Toasted Sourdough Tuscan/French with butter and fresh black pepper.

I can’t not.

That’s great, we mostly have Chinese/Asian Shops here but they stock some filipino food.

Thankfully there’s some more informal businesses that deliver and I always manage to sneak in some Red Horse!

An unusually summery day in Scotland today, so why not BBQ some square sausage.

Absolutely bacon mate @darenager

6 thick slices of Warburton’s bread (orange pack one) thickly spread Lurpack butter filled with bacon and sprayed with pepper and add red sauce a bottle or 3 of NCL Brown Ale to wash it down and that’s me set for the day. :+1:

I slap some tofu with tempeh slathered in natto, rub with miso, and served on a bed of kombucha. Viola

Philistine.

HP sauce, not that red Yankee shit.

Only thing that comes to mind with good memories is caldo de costilla soup in colombia with lots of aji chili salsa. (Tafelspitz in austria is similar, here siedfleisch) Here i very rarely eat meat, never in the morning. I eat some olives and often pure miso with water soup to have something salty first.
I hate meat alternatives with chemicals. Prefer hummus and lentils
Edit ok, wait, had my fathers air dried deer meat ( hirschbinden or -bündnerfleisch) also on some sunday mornings years ago…

Candied bacon (bacon baked in the oven topped with brown sugar), served with pancakes topped with whipped cream and caramel sauce. Fruit optional. Finish with a Bloody Mary to clear your arteries.

The wife orders a couple of crates of NCB 24 packs a week, I use them for breakfast and tea time. Other meals I usually have a rum or whiskey.

@Fin25 love the HP sauce on sausage sarnies. :+1:

PS

Sometimes breakfast in our house only consists of NCB tho… if I go past 9am without one then the shakes start and I get very irritated

Switched a few months back from having cereal/porridge to having a hard boiled egg, slice of cheese, a bit of vegetables and either a slice of ham or some fish (smoked mackerel or whatever), after reading a thing in the paper about how it’s better for you. So far so good, feel much less hungry by lunch time and it tastes great!
