I made this new-italo-disco track starting from the Digitone & Digitakt.
Basically, I used the DN+DT to make the first sketch. Then record seperate tracks in Ableton Live via Overbridge. Then flesh out the basic idea into a song.
Most tracks or get heavily edited, or get replaced with VST’s via MIDI. Or I record hardware via said MIDI (MS20 for bass in this case).
But it’s the Digi’s that started it all!
They are nice sketchpads idd
The track is released now, digitally & on vinyl via Bordello A Parigi:
I think that if someone said “Italo disco” this is exactly the kind of track that I want to hear, otherwise, change it. The production really shines, and the melodic composition has enough complexity and interplay to not get old too quickly.
I think it’s a nicely made track, glad you were able to share it.
Nice! I love Bordello A Parigi and these Diamond in the Night comps are great. I’ve been trying to track this 12" down here in the U.S. but haven’t seen it in any shops yet.
