Famous drum patterns remade on the AR

I’m still practicing and, IMHO, a good way to learn things is to remake other people’s work.

Care to join the “famous drum patterns remade on the Analog Rytm” thread ?

I’d suggest the only rule is that no post-processing may be used, except for a simple master EQ (e.g. to tame the insane amount of bass the AR outputs)

This evening I tried to get the AR into 808 territory and remade “that” classic Marvin Gaye pattern:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/12j02l8wgh98122/808_Marvin+Gaye_AnalogRytm_Remake-21Jul2014b.flac

(the ‘claves’ sound is based on a sample dumped from the Oberheim DMX ROM. The snare drum was the hardest part. The bassdrum is quite close to the reference track (there are many versions of that track, though))

Post your remakes!

Cool idea, but please don’t use Mediafire, it’s spammy! (soundcloud is free!)

I once bought an 808 with the Sexual Healing pattern already programmed in it,
100% accurate… :+1:

Already programmed up some 60+ cover songs years ago, from Depeche Mode to C&C Music Fact, from Donna Summer to Madonna. That’s whole songs not just drum parts!

Forgotten more than I care to remember :zonked:

Def a good way to learn stuff

You have any of it posted? I like melodies too, not just the drum tracks…Depeche Mode should work nicely on synths.

If you got the dark trinity and use the sound packs Hell Bent on Circuits & Nintari Flashback on the OT&AR. Then try to make Kraftwerk songs and you will be surprised how close the result might be!
