Faderfox sending wrong CC / Digitakt 2 not receiving CC

Hi guys, just hooked up my faderfox EC4 to DT2 and I’m trying to use it control the filter cutoff across several tracks as well as the base filter frequency.

Thing is it’s acting strangely, I’ve referenced the manual to find the relevant CC that I need to send and set those up and double checked they are right. I’ve set all the tracks I want to control to the same channel (11). Problem is the base filter frequency isn’t the parameter getting changed, instead the delay send is what’s being controlled (I’ve set it to CC84). Aside from it causing a happy accident this is pretty frustrating as it’s not what I’m trying to do :smile:. I attached a photo of the EC4 settings.

Another issue is one track is receiving the CC for the filter cutoff successfully, while another one’s filter cutoff isn’t responding at all.

Anyone know what might be going on here? :frowning:

According to the manual Filter Frequency is 74. 74 is Cutoff on many synths. Maybe you can try it just with one track and setting the other tracks to a different channel and then try more than one? And make sure you do not select the Global channel or auto channel as 11 because that could cause issues.

Edit: And I just saw that 74 is also Input Pan and other stuff when you select channel 11 for FX control

Thanks for your help. The issue is happening when controlling “filter base” not filter cutoff, filter base is cc 84, I just noticed 84 is also delay send. I’m extremely confused about two parameters having the same cc control and don’t understand how to pick just one of them to be controlled. Seems it decided to send CC84 to the delay send rather than bass width filter. And I’m guessing with cc74, on one track it works to change cutoff and on the other track maybe it decided it controls L input pan and therefore it does nothing.

No other tracks are set to 11 iirc. But I’ll double check tomorrow

Actually I think I understand now, the two parameters on DT controlled by CC 84 each have a different NRPN MSB, would you know how to change that and if it’s even possible to set on the EC4?

Edit: I think I found it, problem solved ( probably). Will test it out tomorrow
