Faderfox encoders / data feedback?

Hi !
So, I’ve bought an UC4, mainly because of “data feedback avoid parameter jumps” part of it.
What I thought this was : changing patterns on a digi box will instantly change the value of the corresponding encoder in the UC4 for any value that changes with the pattern.
Thing is, I can’t seem to get this working with neither Syntakt nor Digitone.
So, is there something I didn’t understand in how this works ? Or are Digibox not capable of sending remote data feedback ?
Cheers,

USB or MIDI?

Midi

holy hell i think i have kind of the same question and have been searching the web for a solution for the past 2 hours

slight difference: i am using an Arturia MinilabMk3 - it has a midi-out and it’s encoders can be switched between “absolute” and “relative” mode

i get the connection to work and can control parameters via the Minilab on the Syntakt - but when i change them directly on the Syntakt and then use the Minilab’s encoders again, i get those nasty parameter jumps

so far i figured out that the “relative” mode should solve this problem by sending a specific value to the Syntakt but from what i have read so far the problem seems to lie within the Syntakt - it simply can’t interpret that specific value correctly

please correct me if i’m wrong (so i can get this thing to work )

Hardware almost always only supports absolute mode. Relative mode works with some softwares.

I think you need to request the current values from the Elektron box. I believe the octatrack has a cc for that. Not sure about the other boxes.

Cc 61 on the octatrack

I don’t think this is available on syntakt
