they are very active on their forums, it’s worth opening a thread asking for a hot swap function, there’s a lot of bug reports there so I’m pretty sure an update will be released soon so maybe there’s a chance they will include something…
I bought Pro-Q 3 during the black Friday sale on Pluginboutique. Was happy to see a note in the release that upgrade for me is free. Had not gotten around to registering or installing it yet so I just went through the process. No access to the upgrade yet though I do see an option to upgrade for $90. Watching and waiting … … …
Edit: All it took was a post on their forum and I got my Q 4 serial number added to my account. You people are correct. They do seem to have very friendly, efficient customer support.

I’d reach out to fabfilter support. They probably had a process for updating everyone already registered at the time of release. But those who registered 3 after release might have slipped through the cracks.
They’re super friendly and helpful. They’ll be eager to get you set up.

Such an annoying post, now I’ll have to change my mind. I wanted the soothe effect for a while but I didn’t want to pay $200 for it. I’m off to fabfilter’s web shop now, thanks.
i’m in the same boat, have been curious but techivation first made me take more time to research and now this,
I bought soothe2 on Black Friday along with a separate EQ and a few other plugins… could have just got Pro-Q4 and called it a day and saved a couple hundred dollars lol… oops!!!
Maybe you can “return” soothe and get your money back.
dunno how to feel about a demo where literally every example is clipping, would check other, better comparisons.
I don’t know how soothe sounds, never had it, but I sure am glad that this feature is now in Q4.
I remember a discussion about comparing soothe and gullfoss and I clearly remember people saying that there is no winner, seems that every one of these is different and the best results are achieved when it’s not overdone, and btw there are more of these out there like teote, dseq3 and others, there’s no bottom to these things so having this inside a plugin I use anyway all the time is just convenient, I’m sure there will be advocating “this is better/that is better” all the time but couldn’t care less now…
