External White Noise source (kinda self powered)

Hi, i’ve tested my cable “Hirlostek” with the Analog Four

you can send 5V on the ring of the Cable (via cv out) and you obtain a withe noise on the other end of the cable…

watch out don’t send more than 5v or you will kill the cable…

Tested with a Minitaur

Nice find! Didn’t even know such a thing existed. The lack of analog noise on the A4 has always kind of bugged me. I didn’t dig very deep on the link but it looks like it’s out of stock :frowning: thanks for the heads up though!

It is a digital noise
It can be use as a 5th audio track on the A4.

actually i’m the manufacturer of these, and
yes i’m out of stock but some of my distributors have them in stock.

Btw i will do a new batch soon.

Ah, I see. Still cool though. It seems to have a more aggressive edge to it than the A4’s noise, maybe it’s the video? Anyways, cool tool, I’ll dig around the web for a supplier

yes the sound is brighter than the built-in
i did some tests with the fx track lfos and audio in and also a test by triggering the cv output to power on and off the cable…

no more than 5v or you’ll destroy the PIC inside the cable.

one more thing, it was made for the patty and minitaur in mind.

but i bought a analog four 2 month ago, and i wanted to test it with it
it works but we have to choose the good parameters on the CV outs to make it work properly.
