My OTmk1 is mounted on a rack and i got a cheap midi board to bring to the front of the table.
Is it possible to send midi IN to control bank selection, part selection, and ultimately pattern selection? I have managed to create some macros that cycle parts up and down, as well as banks up and down. the problem is, unless i use the onboard buttons to select the bank and part and “yes”, my midi device is stuck pointed at the last page it saw…
in other words, i can use my macros to scroll through banks and parts, but only the original 16 patterns are available.
has anyone successfully mapped banks/parts changes from an external device?
Thanks for the responses! I read through all of the threads but my question wasn’t quite answered.
For clarification;
I managed to midi map a ‘bank scroll’ and ‘part scroll’ button, but I seem to be missing the YES/ENTER command to actually load the bank/part.
The 16 pad controller gives 16 patterns to play with no issue, we can scroll to a new bank/part, but the pads stay on the last ‘known’/truly loaded/physically loaded bank/pattern.

Maybe I’m missing a midi command in the string to say 1 select bank, 2 select part, 3 YES. Do we know if there is an enter/yes CC, PC, SysEx command I’m missing?
