Extending ptn length issue

When I want to copy/extend my 16 step recording into a 64 step version, it suddenly only add empty space. Tried to restart. Not helping. What did I accidentally change in my default settings?

My Digitakt2 used to simply just copy the beats . Please help a beginner

Settings > Personalise > Page Autocopy :white_check_mark:
