Ext inst fx stop working sometimes

i have my jp-08 and ms20 going into the digitone.

sometimes the effects on those tracks only stop working. usually works after power cycle.

is this a bug or a feature? maybe there’s a hidden fx mute shortcut somewhere?

Maybe you pressed stop button twice, which stops all sounds?

External effects not working unless an audio track is unmuted Digitakt

From the manual : • After you load/reload a project, or after pressing [STOP] + [STOP], you must trig or play an audio track to activate the effects for the External in mixer.

The problem is much bigger than it seems.
I have this on each mixer parameter.
You can solve this quickly by changing the certain parameter about one increment of its displayed value. The parameter change will force the os to catch this parameter which was not executed during the pattern change.
This bug is a pain in the a… for all those who would like to use the enternal ins for live gigs.
I solved the problem for long term by activating the default mixer function and stored the volume settings of my external gear. But this has the downside that all the other parameters of the mixer page are set on default too, even its not activated in the menu settings.
In this way all settings are equal on each pattern. so I must set up the parameters manually when needed.

So I’ve noticed this same problem with Digitakt 2 when I tried using Digitakt as an FX scene box After changing a pattern on DT2 and changing back to the original pattern with the FX, it seems only the chorus is being applied to the sound. Changing the reverb or delay send does nothing, even after reloading the project this issue persists. Very unexpected behavior, I wonder if I’m overlooking something.

There was something in the manual which I vaguely recall reading that external input fx cut out when you double tap the stop and don’t come back until you trig a sound using a trig key? I’m not positive, I’ll have to look again. It didn’t really apply to me so I only retained part of the information.

Might very well be exactly the problem.
