Does anyone have any suggestions for stands that would work well on the 61 key version? Looking for something stable.
K&M Omega Pro.
That’s the one I’ve been eyeing. Trying to figure out if the two attachments can each hold one of my OB-6 Desktop and Super 6 Desktop.
I have a Jasper’s A-frame stand. Lots of space. Get a 2 tier if you don’t want to be too tempted to upgrade or a 3 tier if you’re brave. You could easily fit your two desktop units on a single tier. And on mine the osmose is on one of the weaker upper tiers and it feels super solid. Put it on the bottom and it won’t go anywhere.
Yes, put Super module on the first and OB6 module on the 2nd tier. The second one can hold max 8 kg, the bottom one max 80kg.
My own config is: Kronos 61 on the bottom, Osmose 49 on the 1st, effecfs pedals and looper on the 2nd. I got the flat surface for each upper tier. That gives you extra room to play with or extra surface to distribute the weight.
Yeah, that’s the order I was thinking. I think the load capacities are a little higher, as the website shows 80/25/15 kg for the three levels.
I haven’t seen this one, before. I’ll take a look…
The key advantages of Omega Pro are that you can raise the bottom up to 1 meter (practical for concerts) and that you have plenty of legroom. It stands very stably on its feet. It takes a while to mount the two top tiers the first time, in particular the table top on tier 1. The table tops for the 2 top tiers are worth the investment, in particular if you plan to put desktop modules or effects pedals on them.
Are you referring to the aluminum trays for the two stacker tiers (# 18819 and # 18824)? Just going through the site and they have a bunch of accessories.
yes, exactly those
Grabbed a 61 key from Perfect Circuit today. Still exploring, but came to say in case anyone has a similar issue - When I input the serial number to register it, it said it didn’t exist. The first character was a 0 (as was the second one), found a post on Reddit where someone had a similar issue with the Osmose, and it turned out the first character was an O. On the card they look exactly the same, so if you get the same issue, swap the first 0 for an O.
It’s interesting that the Osmose CE units are about 10% heavier than their full-synth counterparts.
I wonder what that says about materials used, changes in design, etc?
Metal casing perhaps? Original is all plastic casing AFAICS.
Yeah, I think that’s it.
Just walked to the other room to check mine (joys of WFH) and it has a metal top, but the rest of the chassis is plastic.
