So I’ve been messing about with my MS20 mini recently again alongside some eurorack.
Today I discovered that if you partially patch a cable into the INPUT of the cutoff frequency patchpoint (IE the patch point along the arrow pointing from envgen to the cutoff), you can hook into the ENVGEN 2 OUTPUT.
When I do this I get the envelope signal coming OUT of the input patch point.
This lets me use the full ADSR envelope from the ms20. Both the HPF and LPF patch points work like this meaning I get essentially a mult of the same envelope!
My question is - can anyone with more knowledge of eurorack explain why this works? Am I going to break something / blow up my synths?
It’s strange that this only works when I partially push the cable in, but no longer functions when I push it entirely in.
