I bought something from Thomann in Germany & the unit was supplied with a 2 pin European plug / Transformer. I need to buy an Adapter for using here in the UK but i have a question regarding the Fuse that should go in the Adapter.
Now as far as i’m aware these are the guidelines for which fuse is required in UK plugs.
3 Amp fuse for appliances up to 700 Watts
5 Amp fuse for appliances ranging from 700 to 1000 Watts
13 Amp fuse for appliances over 1000 Watts
But the info on the 2 pin plug / transformer is:
INPUT: 230V - 50Hz
OUTPUT: 15V - 16VA
Info on the unit itself:
15V AC 8V A
So how do i work out the Wattage of the equipment i’ve bought?
I’ve still got my fx/pedals: Space, Timeline, Fireworx, Kaoss Pad Quad, & i kept the Slim Phatty & Mackie Onyx 1620i.
I sold my A4, TG500, MPC 5000, XOX Rack, Wavestation, EX5R & bought an additional Octatrack (2 x OT now!)
I’ll continue buying fx & pedals & i’ll work exclusively with the 2 OTs / Outboard FX for composition, sequencing & sound design. It’s still going to take forever to master everything but now i’m focused. Just wish i had more time.
Sounds fun with those pedals and 2 OT’s!? What happened to the A4?
Looking for work now after stretching my time off as far as it can go. Have my first release due early next year and started doing a remix…so things are looking up.
I liked using the A4, especially the performance macros, but in the end i became totally board with standard ways of production & sound & i really wanted to get away from synthesis. Even with minimal time on the OT i could tell it was going to take me places i’d only dreamed about. I’ve been making music on & off for 25 years & i’ve owned some incredible instruments but the OT’s the most exciting bit of kit i’ve ever used. So i made a decision to see where 2 OTs & some FX would take me.
Good to hear about your forthcoming releases, please keep me updated.
