I programmed the Intech Studio EN16 to control a Euclidean Sequencer on TRK4 of a DT2.
Perhaps it’s starting to overlap with the Torso T1 to some degree and I like it.
Now just wishing Elektron exposes more trig / note parameters (especially retrig!) to be controlled with MIDI CC.
In the Youtube video I also linked to the GRID config file (uploaded it to the cloud if anyone would like to take it further).
Some highlights:
- Encoder 1: Pulse Generator 1 (button press / hold = temporarily sends all trigs)
- Encoder 2: Pulse Generator 2
- Encoder 3: Octave Shift (using Tune +12, 0, -12)
- Encoder 5: Decay (button press = resets to 0)
- Encoder 6: Velocity
- Encoder 7: Note Length

Let me know what you think.
Which MIDI parameters do you like exposing / why?

Amazing! I’m considering the DT2 for this very function, and possibly to replace my T1. Question: how did you map the Euclidean function to CC values? The DT2 manual shows no CC values in the MIDI implementation .

If you’re using the Intech GRID modules, currently you need to call 3 functions.
Here is the code for the Pulse Gen 2:
The first lines sends the NRPN value (3); second function sends the NRPN LSB (9) value; third function sends the actual encoder value (I used anywhere from 0 to 100 I believe as defined by “val”).
Since I was sending the track 4, my “ch” variable was set to 3 (0 = TRK1; 1 = TRK2, etc).
Does this help?
midi_send(ch, 176, 99, 3)
midi_send(ch, 176, 98, 9)
midi_send(ch, 176, 6, val)
Thank you! I’m using the Faderfox PC12, so I have to see if sending NRPN value is possible.
