How about moving this to another thread? This seems very much an “all delay pedals” thing rather than an Echolocator-specific thing.

Can anyone confirm the Echolator / Nightverb cannot change presets via MIDI? Not sure if firmware updates changed this

Slow to the conversation here but the midi only seems to control the same things as the knobs. So not the presets.

Which for me is a bit of an oversight because surely it would be good to change things that I can’t access from the front panel like compression and delay type etc.

There’s also a big UI miss in that if you have it in hands on mode i.e. not loading. a preset the compression, shimmer mode and delay type don’t survive the power cycle. It always goes back to 50 percent compression and clean mode and shimmer A.

- DUB DELAY mode (turns the behaviour DRY/WET into AUX send)

To enable go to EFFECT settings menu and set the DUB to ON. DUB mix adjusts the balance between FX and DRY audio lines.

  • New DOTTED synchronisation ratios

To enable - sync Echolocator via MIDI clock. New sync ratios are - 1/32, 1/16T, 1/16, 1/8T, 1/16D, 1/8, 1/4T, 1/8D, 1/4, 1/2T, 1/4D, 1/2, 1/1T, 1/2D, 1/1, 1/1D

  • Option to change MIDI OUT channel in MIDI OUT settings

I’ve looked places and can’t figure out how to create an init preset or turn one into an init! Any idea how you did this?

Well I hope there’s a better way but all I did was zero out the parameters as best I could and save it as a user preset. I believe we can set a default preset to load on power-up. Just need to make sure I don’t overwrite it.

+1 Echolocator. Love it!

Indeed it’s expensive but I’m having such a great time with it. I was looking for a long time for something that would help with some build-ups and also add space to some parts, so far it’s delivering beautifully. It’s connected to the digitone which holds most of the harmonic elements, while the digitakt and the rest do the rhythmic/bass. As others have already said, it really feels like an instrument.

Looking forward to using it on some drums too!
