no promo, was actually looking for infos about SBTRKT studio gear. The site shows rigs and let you search by instruments. So you can see elektron owners, cool but also hints for audio chain and itb/otb setups.
(I have no idea if the setups are confirmed by artists and it’s also a musical instruments shop.)

This is really cool simple idea. I hope people bother to develop it more because I’m too lazy to do even the easiest ones.
It’s prety sparse right now for example http://equipboard.com/pros/aphex-twin/ doesn’t even include most the stuff listed on the Syro insert, which is the easiest example I can think of. I can’t think of any other albums that just list the equipment used, but I’m sure there are a few.
Considering all the music videos, live shows, interviews etc. there’s no shortage of sources for this info. I hope the people who get into updating the site like good music.

if an artist used an instrument on an important record but no longer does, is it listed anyway?

To answer your questions:
Yes, we’re interested in cataloging all of the gear an artist has used, even if they aren’t using it currently.
We don’t have a marketplace yet, but it’s certainly a possibility in the future.
