If your looking to invest, a DSI Mopho is the cheapest desktop synth I can think of that has input followers - you can pick em for about 275 UK new.

The Moogerfooger filter has a good envelope follower, which can be sent out as CV. Probably doesn’t help much for your MnM, though.
