Can someone please break down how to enter different pitches via an external controller? I load a melodic sample into a track and I can change the pitch while in live record mode but I want to be able to hold down the step button and enter a different tone while not recording. Is this possible, can you break it down for a newb? Thanks.
When I hold down the step in step record mode, it always records the same pitch no matter what I press on the keyboard.
Are you using the auto channel on the DT?
Have you enabled RECEIVE NOTES in the MIDI CONFIG > PORT CONFIG menu?
