I still can’t believe, that we are still using the dated C6 for organizing our sounds.
Elektron is making such cool instruments , and more powerful than ever…especially when it comes to having more sounds at our disposal . So how come they can’t come up with a proper software to go along with these awesome machines?
Agreed i’d really like to see some library software.
Using C6 is OK but it’s a workflow disruption.
+1
Would def like to see somthing better for backing up stuff
With the + drive on the a4, i dont feel the same need to back up (though i should)
However my MD non UW is full, and id love to have a more versatile sound manager on the computer
& btw, the c6 manager does not work correctly. If i, for example, select all my files frome one bank and send them to the c6, he does not take all of them. Does anyone have the same problem here?
Sorry, i wouldn’t start a new topic here.
^ works fine for me doing as you suggested, all sent irrespective of bank size !
wich system? pc or mac?
snow leopard, i’ve never had any problems with c6 but the labelling of the buttons is not great if english is your 1st language
yes, the interface is not the best, but it works, when i send only one patch at a time.
i had a similar problem … c6 has to be started and killed 4 or 6 times before it deicides to work !
win7 / 64bit
to analog 4 via usb
…
i found it makes a difference if the a4 is on before opening c6 … and rebooting pc (yeah like 10 years ago) when something didnt work ( i cant kill c6 with the task manager, for some reason the process stays active)
then the most odd thing was :
it made a difference when loading a sample folder into c6
or drag and drop it into c6
sometimes it sent all , on other times i had to MANUALLY hit ENTER for EVERY sample that I wanted to send.
I was furthermore only able to load my samples into the pool, and copied the samples from there to the +drive
i will donate 10 euro to whoever comes up with a proper software …who else?
Im not even asking for a software editor for the instruments…just a simple and more effective sound manager
+100
Elektron would be doing ALL of their users a big favor by addressing this, finally. I mean shit, their machines are premium price and quality, so it goes without saying that a sample/sysex manager should also help complete that picture of quality. As it is, I hate using C6, which makes leads me to not backing up or changing samples out, very often (often times transfers are incomplete). Right now there’s nothing about C6 that makes it seem like it is intended for use with their machines, either functionally or visually.
Actually, with all the hacker/programmer types here on this forum, I’m surprised somebody hasn’t already created their own super bad-ass Elektron software librarian. If there is, try to sell that shit to Elelktron!
When dumping 48 samples to the MD, the process usually gets interrupted by about 3-7 errors. Remove bugs and I’m ok with it.
Well…I guess Elektron heard some of us , I can’t wait!!
