Auto correct be damned! Moistening is not what I intended to type. I think I was curious about lack of noise on the demos I watched but who knows what post is going on….yes I agree it’s a unique product if it delivers.

DivKid seems to be using a more recent firmware (12th Feb)… Does anyone know, have the digital noise issues been resolved or drastically reduced for the Golden Master pedal with the more recent firmware?
I also want to know this!
Honestly, I never really experienced this noise. I thought I did, but it actually came from my gear.
Endorphin are constantly releasing fw updates for the GM, last one dates from the 6th of March. So I assume they solved at least some issues.

I quite liked what I’ve heard in this video and also like the performance aspect of it, even though my primary use would be as a mastering compressor. Sidechain did seem a bit on/off to me though. It would be interesting to hear it in direct comparison to some competitors.

Yes, this video covered quite a few use cases (I’m only interested in the full mix part), and it was really helpful to me to see in what order and how he proceeded, as I find compression and mid/side processing quite challenging.

- low cut adjustment for flat spectrum output
- output phase adjustment and phase alignment for dry/wet operation
- bypass state is saved on the next pedal's power up
Release notes: v1.2 beta 09.02.2024
- removed the automatic makeup gain
Release notes: v1.1 beta 19.01.2024
- input high-pass filter end de-emphasis in the audio codec settings may result in flatter spectrum response
The automatic makeup gain could result in much audible noise and there are several fixes to make sure the spectrum response is flatter.

DivKids video certainly does that pedal justice. Perhaps I’m just too old (I mean literally and scientifically) to hear it but I’m not getting any noise vibes off that video and I’ve watched it twice on pro level monitors… Very tempting.
Has anyone had problems with the Golden Master Pedal not showing VU meters and only sending audio through in bypass? This happened after I updated the pedal.
Trying to figure out how to do a factory reset.

New random generator:
- SHIFT + REVERB + ROUTING randomizes the patch incl. random LFO freq. but not randomizing volume/mix/cabinet
- MODULATION + REVERB + ROUTING randomizes the modulations.
- long SHIFT + MODULATION press clears all modulations
- bandpass limited to frequency range of 100Hz-7000Hz instead of full range.
- lp/hp works till silence for lowpass and 2.2 kHz for highpass - if you play a dance track, add resonance and use LP/HP filter it acts as a fun dj FILTER with more useful range. Is also easier to catch wah-wah with that range
It appears to me that changes to the filter frequency ranges are unrelated to the random generator, the video does not explain that either.

I was considering getting this to run my Alphabase thru but decided to use my A4 as AAA filterbank instead. Still interested in getting one tho…
TBF I start yawning a little when I hear that a youtuber has collab’ed with a modular or pedal company, but this thing is pretty neat.
To quote Loopop:
“…plus 3 might let you add a multiparameter octatrack style crossfader to your instrument.”
I can’t sell it like he can so watch the video if you’re interested but (especially for the price) this has potential.

I just got it a few days ago. I used to have sustain pedal on the table, but it’s big and clumsy to operate this way, so this is just what I needed. It’s small, well built, fader and button feels quality, switch is alright. It’s quite narrow and light, so it can be a bit unstable, especially when operating switch in a heat of the moment. Closely placed rubber feet add to the problem, but it’s a 30 second job to move them to corners of the unit, which helps noticeably. All in all I like it, it solved a problem for me and now I also have expression control in same box, which is something I still need to explore.

It may not be a must have pedal, but I still like the idea, the execution and the price. Only 65 euros for something that can be really useful (depending on your workflow).

It comes in a nice package, although I find the price a bit steep for a simple passive circuit that anyone with a soldering iron and $5 worth of components can build into an Altoids tin (or a small Hammond box) if you can make do with a knob instead of a fader.

True although if you look at like the cost of a latching sustain switch and like a old blood noise expression slider you are in a similar price range. Chase bliss EXP is 200$ 
end of the day you are paying for a nicely built thing (hopefully). Although I might pay 10$ more to get loopops branding stripped off it.
