Emulating Analog Heat saturation in DAW/VST?

Just wondering if anyone has somewhat accurately emulated the Saturation modes of the AH using a DAW or VST?

I really like the saturation on the AH, so was wondering if there are any devices that could get close to its sound?

Ableton Roar seems to do it for me. Start with a preset like “Mix Shine On” and adjust from there.

Fabfilter Saturn is worth a look too. It’s real nice

i doubt you’ll be able to emulate phase cancelling perfect emulations of AH in the box, but the two listed are great, as is decapitator and some of the d16 stuff. these alone will give you years worth of very quality saturation options

Not sure, never tried emulating my AH, but for similar crushy things I tend to reach for UAD Culture Vulture most of the time

Tone projects Kelvin is worth a look

Thanks everybody. Roar seems a likely candidate, esp. being so flexible and native to Ableton.

I also have Decapitator and have been getting some nice results from the ‘Drum Fattener 1’ preset.

I really like roar but I haven’t found it to sound close to the heat tbh. I’ve never compared directly tho as I use them differently.
