have you experienced this here on that forum ?

you post an answer to a question, the op edits the question and suddenly
your answer seems to be of a weirdo.

happened to me both ways recently - haha

I know what you mean. When I pulled it out it was huge and purple.

Yeah that happens. Another annoying one is when you decide not to post something and it haunts you forever as a saved draft. Or when you press reply to an earlier comment in the thread and when you post it doesn’t post as a reply, just as a new comment and it looks like you’re talking to yourself

full disclosure : fwiw we can read all edits, just sayin’ … all edits… inc deletions !

PS : no sight of PMs mind you, but some admins can, though we can see if that happens (it doesn’t, due to the transparency)
