Elektronauts do DR((((((O))))))NE Day 2026

Do we still send our drones here directly into the forum ? Thank you :heart_hands:

Sure, why not?

Ok thank you very much. Wasn’t sure because at some point there was a discussion about the audio quality and some ideas were shared but didn’t follow the outcome :relieved:

Btw I made a small script to resize files down to 10MB.

Crappy mp3 don’t bother me: I even use the Lossy to enjoy such sound

And tonight’s drone
ST → Sherman FB2 → FX

Oops.

Not sure about this one tbh.

Wanted to use the EssenceFM to make something less saturated in character but not really sure how good a job I’ve done. This time I’ve used it as a 6-voice additive synth with the LFOs modulating some of the operators’ fine-tuning, volume, AM and FM.

Hi there!

This is my first drone ever, so any advice will be greatly appreciated.

This is a drone played live with an OG Digitone, then used as a sample in two standard tracks in Tonverk (tuned down, one of the samples reversed, both slightly panned to each side), and used as a sample in Grainer… and then played and tweaked live in Tonverk and recorded directly into Ableton via USB. Ableton provided some compression and limiting.

Chrome Country, like the 0pn track? One of my favorites. That moment on R Plus Seven is magical.

Yes, that’s right! Listening to Chrome Country live will probably always be the most cherished musical moment of my life. That thing changed me forever.

Only advice you should get, is keep droning!!!
You are doing very fine! Keep searching your own way, and maybe incorporating what you’ve learned in more conventional tracks ^^
I would get an album like this, beautiful sounds!!

A story I’d love to read… May I suggest to leave a few words there:
I 12 albums that define me: 5 - May

You’re too kind, thanks! I’ll keep on droning, yes: it’s been very fun thinking where to go next and I feel like I learned a lot. There was a moment before things got very noisiy where I felt some techno groove boiling under there, so maybe that’s a way to go

@Fedemone thanks for listening!

I’m now playing both Drone 4 and Drone 6 at the same time and it sounds even better, they beat against each other beautifully!

it’s getting hot in england, drone weather.

one of my favourite drones might be country side, distant lawn mowers, microlites, farm machinery blended with nature

That might be a good field recording!

in the 80s they stubble burned the fields towards the end of summer.

i’ve got a romanticised memory of the sound and smell. would love to relive (and record!) that but that’s truly in the past now.

Beautiful image. Those lines look like strings from a giant musical instrument. I can imagine the sounds. Why don’t you do something with that memories. Create your own soundscape. Would be amazing!
