Info concerning crowd funded user event:
We are thinking of looking into crowd funding options in order to pay for a decent venue and also to offer flights and accommodation for people from other countries who would like to play. If going this route the event itself would be free entry. We would ask our various event partners to help share and promote the crowd funding side of things.
At the risk of repeating myself I have started this as a separate thread as it has become more involved than just a fb group page. So:
We are thinking of using the same venue that we are using for our elektron e.p. launch with Plaid (live elektron set).
This event has 3 other elektron users playing live including Dataline, so it is already an elektron event to some extent.
This venue has funktion one systems throughout and is comprised of 2 rooms of around 250/300 each (600 cap total).

It may be the case that it will be a day time event. If so we may look into having talks, demo’s and special guests as part of the event. A day time event will be much easier to arrange due to venue availability.
Something we’re aiming towards is a small 2 day elekro festival concentrating on experimental and innovative dance music styles. This will be at somewhere like CS.
Once we decide on the venue, dates, and how is will work we will put together the artist roster/schedule. We will formulate a list of all costs ahead of looking into crowd funding options.
It may come to nothing, or it may be the start of some great events!
