I’d tell you two to quit, but if we don’t get thread to 2000 posts, Behringer’s syntakt clone will have a teaser campaign that will quite likely ruin the world.

i dont think its unreasonable. the digitone is a flexible synth with an incredibly powerful sequencer. it just has a very distinct timbre that can be hard to mix with other gear. i dont think it’s too crazy to ask for a virtual analog, even something like the monomachine with the power of the analog four (fm/am/noise/variable waveshapes unlike the dn’s/osc rate lfos/feedback routing/qperf/mix page/two filters/just a little bit more usable synth engine) that isn’t limited to 4 voices or digital fm synthesis, even if its not analogue

have you seen what people like ivar tryti can do with a box like the a4 or the digitone? now imagine what they could do if they weren’t limited by those two very distinct and somewhat restricting synth engines. to build upon one of the most powerful hardware platforms available right now isn’t unrealistic. it would be the smartest thing they’ve ever done. i would buy 20 different versions of the digitone/a4 if they had different synths and more deep sound sculpting options.

those boxes are 2 of the few viable options in hardware, outside of eurorack for crafting tracks and performing them dawless, without multi-tracking. it just sucks to have to choose between a 4 voice analogue that doesn’t sound that great (imo) and an 8 voice fm synth that has a very unique personality, although i love them both. why not make more? its a winning formula

what’s your alternative? a deluge? an mpc? polyend tracker?

i dont love the sound of either dn or a4 but i keep coming back to them. i need at least one of those in my setup at all times to make music the way i want to

There’s a post on the Thomann YouTube channel that has people guessing “Syntakt”:

Along with many jokes about Octatrack

Well that’s an Octatrack so…

octa isn’t a synth so might be something out of shot.

Well I see an Octatrack there

The guy there is also reading some book/manual so I am not sure what they really want go with this video
Does not really say anything

they already posted the video. it’s the studio electronics box sitting there, studio electronics se3x. you can see on the manual he’s reading it says studio electronics

Roland’s New MC10010 groovebox, is the Syntakt killer we’ve all been waiting for.

I was about to pick up the Syntakt when I was at the grocery store today, but I decided to wait for the new Fender Groovebox. Telecaster mode should bring the twang my beats have been missing.

Be careful there was a recall on the whammy bar add-on.

I heard some kid lost an eye when the whammy popped out! It was kind of weird they put it on the top of the box to begin with.
