They are not the fastest when it comes to answering support requests but the support is pretty good
I’m waiting for them to answer myself but I think this has something to do with the analog rytm at the moment so I think we both just need a little patience as my machinedrum is in Sweden for repairs they told me repairs take up to six weeks due to the ar release .
I think patience is key at the moment
I hope this helped
^^Thats right. Just a bit of extra patience needed during these times
That is not encouraging… I am getting an Octatrack I sold sent back to me because the buyer says it sounds like something is moving around inside the unit. I may need to file a shipping claim, and you only have a limited time to do that.
Hopefully things will speed up soon. Two weeks just to get a reply is too long.
Yeh, sorry but there is no excuse for not even responding to a service matter for 2 weeks. Its not a matter of patience - its a matter of customer support, proper trade ethics and that sort of thing. Its just bad business, period. If the staff is overworked and unable to meet these standard expectations, hire more people. If the company is so flush with cash that they can afford to leave their customers dangling in the wind, they can also afford to build more infrastructure to support the increased volume of inevitable consequences.
This is the lack of personal service you would expect from a faceless mainstream megacorp, not a highly regarded boutique manufacturer that prides themselves on quality craftsmanship.
The only reasonable explanation would be financial hardships at Elektron, and I seriously doubt that is the issue.
They are in the Bahamas,
they got so much pre-order cash from the AR they took the new company Learjet
I was informed on them being busy and that the repairs can take some time but I’m very patient as it is not urgent at the moment but I can understand that this taking so long to answer is a problem.
Elektron is still a small company and they have only 3 workshops who do repairs so I can understand that stuff is lining up over time and parts need to be ordered from the manufacturer which takes up some time…
I generally think it won’t change anything if people are just complaining on here so how about writing an email to elektron or mentioning this issue in the support ticket as I did believe me it helps understanding the situation.
The elektron main offices are also not as some may expect them to be a huge office building with a giant glowing elektron logo on it but rather small offices in a building shared with other corporations.
I personally think the problem is that there are not enough people who answer support tickets but believe me everyone who answer such a ticket knows perfectly what a machinedrum or monomachine or any of the other devices look like from the inside and which issues may occur and what to do to solve them… I just can’t get mad at the elektron guys as they also are very nice guys and always try to come up with a solution that is convenient for both sides
