Hey there,

I already have the Analog Rytm and have ordered an Octatrack and an Analog Four which have already been shipped. I was hoping someone would orient me on how to connect all these three devices ‘syched’ together.

Right now all my gear is being routed through my RME UCX interface (Minimoog Voyager, Analog Rytm, Ableton Push.)

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Cables. I recommend cables.

Indeed, audio cables and a midi cable or two.

Maybe a few USB cables as well. Or do you think he’s using the Push and the UCX standalone?

i personally habe ableton send out midi start via usb to my analog4, the analog 4 then sends it through to the MD / and through to OT and other devices …

cables are your friends!

Thanks for the prompt response.

I would like to have all my Elektron connected separately from the rest. I don’t really use Push that much ever since I purchased the analog Rytm.

However, I would like to include the miming voyager if possible.

How would the CV connection work for all these?

Thanks again!

CV?

Assuming you’d use the OT as the clock master, you connect its MIDI OUT to the IN on the RYTM, the THRU of the RYTM to the IN on the A4, and the THRU on the A4 to the IN on the Voyager. This is called “daisy-chaining” for obvious readons. You’ll sequence the Voyager with the OT’s MIDI tracks and you can connect the OUT on the Voyager to the IN on the OT if you like.

You might also want to buy a mixer and some audio cables. How to hook that up is an exercise for the reader.

You could sequence/mod the voyager with the A4 CV tracks, you’ll need insert type cables

Do all Voyagers have CV in?

Comedy has been explained as “the unexpected juxtapose of incongruity”.
In this case it “the unexpected presentation of the obvious”.
I laughed so hard!!!
You are not being helpful t. I know you can be.
For mr mustard,
In out loop into voyager as controller from the one you choose as a master, thru chain the others.
Make sure they are set to ext sync in midi sections.
Thru box added if you are not happy with a chain.
Not much, i know but, you will figure it out.
Still chuckling…

just a side note for n00bs …

midi in, to receive signals,

midi out, to export signals,

midi through, pass on incoming signals (this does NOT export info, only passes on incoming info)

There’s no way anyone can really help the OP because he hasn’t given enough information. It’s all really vague. What exactly is he trying to do?
