Elektron Sample pack purchase - paypal - "An Error Occurred"

Checkout just failed at the elektron shop.

After confirming with paypal, I was returned to the elektron site where it appeared to have forgotten about what I was purchasing, and then said ‘an error occurred’.

Is the paypal version of elektron checkout broken right now ? Or is this some problem that’s unique to me ?

(I did try again, with the same result)

Try to clear your cookies and all that good stuff. Sometimes the “quick load” of the Elektron site from the stored data on your computer isn’t very quick to catch up to reality because the site is so resource intensive to load. I’ve not seen this before myself though, may be unique to you.

Also I don’t know if you’re accessing from your phone, that might be different.

This does not look like a “you” problem. What’s the pack you’re trying to get?

I may be on a different server due to different continents, not sure how that works. I’ll poke around on the site and see if I get anything strange.

I can’t even log in to elektron.se at the moment.

I was trying to get ‘Found drums (model samples)’ from the ‘GB’ store, using google chrome. My debugging attempts included using an incognito window (for a fresh, no pre-existing cookies, browser) but that may have caused it’s own problems.

I may give it a rest for now and try later with a different browser.

I just logged in but it took me 2 attempts. The site may be under heavy load, it doesn’t give you the same message as elektronauts when the traffic is high so it’s hard to say. I’m going to download a free pack or something and see what happens.

Aha … I just logged in, checked out, and complete purchase.

I concur, must have been about load, or some other glitch.

Ok cool, I was going to say that I did just now successfully complete a download of the MS sizzler pack so it works, but the site may indeed be under load. I don’t get the impression it singled you out though, it looks like it was a site issue. Glad it worked out.
