The biggest sonic imprint in that mix in my signature is from the Rytm and a tube preamp. I reamped everything through a preamp once I had the mix completed, and the Rytm was the main instrument used to make those tracks, and the OT for a few.

I really don’t think the A4 is for you next. I think it’s a toss up between the OT and the AR. One has big balls and the other has a big brain. :slight_smile:

If you are happy with the sound of the Volcas as they are then you won’t need to resample them and you could chain them to a Rytm. The Rytm will only be able to control tempo and start/stop for your other hardware.

Don’t think of the Rytm as a step beyond the A4 - it’s easier to use than any other black Elektron box.

If the idea of an OT and your existing hardware doesn’t appeal then get an AR.
