It’s surprising that we haven’t heard anything more about it. I have to admit I’m getting quite impatient : having five fewer power outlets in use would be really convenient for me.

Maybe it is not ready or they found some issues. It needs to pass a QC control definitely as this is a product power related.

it seems extremely unlikely they can achieve isolated dc power without selling at a loss at €89. comparing this to a CIOKS isn’t even really fair since the actual wattage output is fairly low on those, and this will have to be significantly higher to support 5 elektron devices.
like the cheapest thing I can find with that many isolated ports is $50 but it’s 18w max shared. elektron boxes are all like 12w or 24w right?
I am probably just missing something and they’re doing some new approach with the tech.

Has there been an official statement about isolated ports? The only thing I can find is the statement “Individually regulated, up to 30W per port from a shared 140W power total.”
Individually regulated, in terms of power management, is common; isolated is rarer and much more expensive. The only existing units I know where the manufacturer has stated this explicitly are the previously mentioned myVolts Silent Alchemist and this StarTech GAN charger (4-ports). I have three of the StarTech ones scattered around my studio. So far I’ve found them to be efficient, quiet and reliable.
I’ve wondered since I heared him say €89 if he didn’t accidentally just mean the new Overhub instead of Powerhub

I heard elektron found noise issues and have vowed never to show a product until its ready for release ever again. I bet the issues dont affect the Tonverk usb c cable etc but the step up barrel ones for the older machines - just my guess . 89 sounds very entry level price also - I think for the value added many of us would be willing to pay a bit more

Sounds probable since noise can be introduced via ground loops etc in many ways if the usb connections are not isolated and at this price it’s not likely they are… but who knows.
Hopefully there will be some news soon. I spent an hour or so getting rid of an usb powered device ground loop issue and only way I could really do it was to separate some of my usb-powered boxes with single USB-adapters and some could go on a multi-port usb adapter. So I was thinking about the Powerhub yesterday and hoping to get some positive news about it soon.

yeah it would cure two OCD issues I have - too many PSUs and cable tangle , and also my silly mission to have all cables elektron grey woven ones … ha
