Elektron Octatrack mk2 12vDC 2A Power Barrel Jack Replacement

Does anyone know the specs on Elektron Octatrack mk2 power barrel jack? Mine broke off and Im trying to find an exact replacement for it so I can fix the damn thing. I reached out to elektron support a week ago and still have not received an answer from them. Never mind it was a tonverk bug. Creating a new fresh project fixed it.

I’m really confused as to what the actual nature of the problem is here, but if something is physically broken, my first thought is that Elektron will sell you a component if you need one. The parts cost is cheap, but their shipping is a little pricy although so is digikey in my experience so it might be comparable.

When you don’t know the actual part number but you have some info like what hans_olo provided, the best thing that you can do is measure the spacing of the footprint and then check the datasheet for the new part and confirm that the feet are spaced the same on the new part as they are on the old part. That would be easier to accomplish if the old part were already uninstalled from the PCB.

Most of the other information like what the barrel size is and what it’s rated for are all available before you get to the point of sale, so you can generally determine if it will fit the old fashioned way.

I think if it’s a concern though, buying it from elektron is generally going to be the easiest way to make certain that you are installing the correct parts.

I exclusively use the myvolts and a battery or usb adaptor.

I have no issue buying the replacement from Elektron but they have been extremely slow to respond. I created a ticket with them 7 days ago and I have received a response but not an invoice or info on the actual part. I would really like to get my octa back up and running ASAP so figured I would reach out here and see if I could find the part locally.
