ehehehehe, i know i know
but…it’s a worry i can’t face at the moment…since i can see a looooong time before i can afford it =(
Great discussion - I’m with the OP - here’s why:
Bloke shared his designs with us last night - thanks Bloke!
I don’t have the tools to turn those designs into reality.
I could go to a shop in town and have them build it.
I’d rather give one of you guys who have the tools, maybe Neil? my money instead, and quite happy for them to turn a profit.
This is good for the community and kind of like our own little ‘economy’ where hopefully we get better prices than going to third parties.
Discuss.
p.s. I was one of the guys who recommended Neil build an LXR for another community member last week. I knew he could do it as I approached him earlier in the year and he said he could. In the end it was too expensive for me so I bit the bullet and did it myself.
So it’s not about laziness or trying to get sh*t for free! I’m just more comfortable with electronics than I am with cutting, machining and getting angles right
How will you development/improve a design/community, if people only want to keep the designs themselves and making a capitalist thought out of it?

Capitalist?
You mean paying bills?
Making my Elektron stands, amongst other things, is what I do to put food on my table: http://marmotaudio.co.uk
Tell us what you do for a living and then I’ll suggest that you should only get paid for one day of the week, the other 4 you should do for free seeing as it’s probably the same stuff you were doing for the first day.
Hi! Do you have 3d models if the three machines? Couldnt find them on google 3d warehouse? I want ti try to draw my own 3-piece stand with a lip to be able to put the covers on. Please, id be happy of you could send me the skp file. Thanks!
Also my idea for stand id like yours seem to be, with a bottom, so i dont have to disassemble the whole thing every time i want to bring one for jamming in another place.
Since having made my own end cheeks (that mount with screws), I wish I had made a design that didn’t involve screws at all, for the very reason you stated.
Continue forward with that line of thinking!

There are no 3D models probably. Those in the picture seems to just be an ‘box’ of IRL-size with custom texture (top panel) on one side. Then you just model the stuff around them.
Here’s is the skp file:

I have abandoned that project since I put OT and AF into a top rack case with the Filterbank2 in order to have a mobile rig.
MD and MM are on laptop stands
Here’s some of my Elektron panels.
