Efficiently fill sample slots?

Hi,

is there any way to assign multiple samples to sample slots in one go? Let’s say I have a set of drum machine samples that I want to use on one track, do I really have to assign them individually or is there a way of highlighting a couple at a time and having them assigned to free slots automatically?

Not quite your question, but perhaps sample chains of complete kits may work out for you, certainly makes it easy to randomise things up and keep tabs on kits, i guess there’s pros and cons, esp re midi access
