Effects and busses?

So I installed the booster pack to do a bit of deconstruction study. I noticed that a lot of the kits had reverb with input as bus CD and some tracks with output as bus CD.

So I went to an empty snapshot and tried making my own kit with such a set up but I can’t seem to get the same thing to work. My signal is still dry unless I place a track trig on the reverb track, but then that changes the nature of the dry signal and the example patterns didn’t have anything on the FX tracks just decay at max in the amp page.

What am I missing here? confoosed

Well, to hear anything thru effects, you have to trig effect machine just like any other machine in MnM. Also, if you put only the first trig on track, you have to put Hold on 127, otherwise reverb (or anything else) will fade out pretty soon. But you have all of those things in manual, just read carefully. By the way, p-locks on effects can do wonders (depending on your style, of course), but, as always, try to experiment. Effects on Input buss are also valuable (my little Akai MPX8 pass thru effects in MnM, and is also sequenced by it).

Thanks, those booster packs are weird then because there is nothing in the sequencer. Maybe other tracks care triggering them.

^My first guess. Try the Trig menu to see if any tracks are triggering the reverb.

Yeah it seems to be the case. Very interesting, I am liking this routing lark. Very handy.

Is there any way to change the amount sent to the reverb machine for each step? Obviously you can change the wetness on the fx machine, but the machine sending to the reverb has no control over the level sent?

Mmhhh…i dont think so…you should dedicate for this another track (at least this is what i’d try if first approaching it)
Going into detail.
use an intermediate Thru track routed only to the BUS that goes to Fx Reverb

Then the level of this THRU will be your send level

P.S.

it’s a waste, i know!!
