Lovely work! You have a wonderfully minimal sound, and you’re more far adept than you let on at conjuring quite the palette from it. This whole album simply oozes humanity. I also thoroughly enjoy the genre “mom stuff”
some (more abstract) comments
Good Night Part 01: a slumbering lilt, the crust of sleep just starting to sparkle in your eyes, twinkling, evocative of fireflies and stars, an original lullaby dueting with a generational music box
Good Night Part 02: a darkness, an unaware unawareness collating dust like a nebula casting stars, a need to move forward even as your feet stumble and slog, a crossing of the threshold, an invitation to dream while basking in the TV’s soft cathode glow, a sudden awakening
A Child In A Mask: a wandering of the halls, the carpet is soft, the nightmares are quelled, the kids are sleeping again, aware as ever of each creak the house makes as you sneak back to a place to dream, the alarm clock halating your unconsciousness, a final warm comfort
Mindful Self Indulgence: a mantra sleepily repeated as you move through the motions of wakefulness, your body is autonomous in its routine, leaving your mind space to wander elsewhere as the task takes over
Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them: a deep breath and a dark step into the unknown, a search for an impossibility wrapped up in your utmost certainty, a cyclic and precious journey, another conversation with a phasmid only you know how to find
Screening The Last Jedi For Your Inner Child: a wash of inspiration, that frenetic energy, a building sprint ending in a soaring leap, lofty suspension and a forgetting to touch the ground, a wild and freeing sense of speed, an arrival, that ever expansive universe ahead
Race You To The Starlight: a lucid awareness of elsewhere, a filtering of lingual murmurations, an abrupt awakening to a narrativizing of your surroundings
Keratin: a valiant attempt to quell the rage, but an attempt nonetheless, breaking, panting, painting, smear frames outlining every move, and then stillness, an internal reorganization, a reclamation of the rage and a grand catharsis, and then a powering down
