I wish that I could find a way to initialize everything but the bare patch ( leaving only the Osc, amp, filters, envelopes, LFO’s intact ). or Alternatively, if there is a way to just copy the bare patch , then I can just paste that on the top of another patch that is set how I want it. I think I spend 30% of my playing time menu diving to reset/get rid of things like effects, performance, sound settings ( like joystick assignments, velocity mods, etc ) and reprogram things every time I find a sound I want to use. It would be nice to have the ability to copy only the sound, the effects, the performance, the assignments individually. Anyone else feels this way ?
There is a good degree of flexibility built in in this regard. Are you exhausting all the key/enc combo shortcuts, maybe you could be a little more specific or take advantage of strategic save/reload or copy/paste
I saw that kits supposedly hold the settings to everything I mentioned:
• Sound settings for the 4 synth tracks.
• FX track parameter settings.
• CV track parameter settings.
• LEVEL settings for the Synth and FX tracks.
• PERFORMANCE mode parameter
So I created a blank one, with no preset settings. Unfortunately, the moment I brought in a new sound, it brought all its sound settings with it. I just want the bare sound with none of the sound setting.
Hmmm… what to do ?
I found an old thread talking about custom initial patches. That’s ultimately what I need as well. It’s not available. Maybe in the future?
I’d like that too, but i don’t see it happening when we have a +drive full of user templates potentially ! You could also use numerous midi controllers which could send/dump a number of cc/nrpn messages sequentially to change most parameters, but not all fom a sound if that is your wish, a vanilla template, something like Lemur on ipad might help
Cannot quite find topics for my question, so this thread needs to suffice.
Is there an easy way to reset just fx to their default states? For example reverb and delay?
If you just do it once and save it, it would take like a minute…
Yes. Hold the respective button (FX track selected) and then press Clear (i.e. Play)
Oh man, I swear I tried that. Gotta try harder, thanks!
How can you have a bare sound with NO sound-settings ?
You can copy all settings - seperate - no problem .
But copy only the sound ? What do you mean with " only the sound " ?
All settings are part of it. Elemenating 1 setting changes the sound.
If the FX bother you - just go to the amp-page and put all 3 ( Chorus - DELAY - REVERB ) at zero - easy and fast…
I don’t thik there are default-setting as you put it but you could create them at your taste and save this setting with a sound on the + DRIVE .
When you need this - just copy that sound on one of the tracks - than copy only the FX - setting ( or the settings you need ) of this track - reload the KIT so the original sound comes back - and paste the FX - settings. It sounds like a lot to do - but ones you’ve got the moves it go’s incredebly fast . You first have to incorporate the Elektron workflow … train your hands… Most of the time I don’t need the screen anymore - wathever I want - my hands are already moving. It took me a few months as I have a very slow-laernig and weak motoric - memory ( that’s wy I never managed to learn piano and prefer sequencers ) - But now it’s in me
and I get where I have to be almost as fast as I can think of it
You can RESET Joystick or Performace - setting very fast -just hold the FUCTION - button while turnig- it’ll jump to 0.
