My Eve Audio monitors are crapping out. I’m about to splurge on a pair of Dynaudio bm5 mkIII’s. Does anybody want to convince me otherwise in the same size/price bracket? Thanks.
Would be a fine pick at that price range - i personally say save a little bit more and get some genelec.
Thanks, I will research the Genelecs a bit further, not sure if I want to spend much more though.
They save you time, you make better decisions and spend less on room treatment. Lots of benefits even if its 3x more. For a small room 8330 is enough even if it doesnt look like it is.
Fair points, cheers!
I was using BM6A for a long time. But, I switched to ADAM A7X, and prefer them. I find them more transparent and agreeable. The BM6A packed more wallop, but the music I produce now is subtler and less fierce than when I had the Dynaudio’s, which almost have a PA like flavor and translate well for club music. I found the previous BM5A a bit weak compared to the BM6A, but haven’t tried the mark III.
Good shout about the Adam’s, might be a bit large for my corner desk, but I’ll check them out, cheers!
In this price range, Dynaudio or Adam.
Dynaudio is more fun to produce and listen music on, but for mixing Adam may be a better choice. I purchased the BM5 mk3, very happy with them.
Innit for the fun, so this might point me in the right direction then, I’ll try to give these a listen for comparison. Thanks.
I went with the Lyd7s — a little more balanced, maybe, but also a little more than the bm5s. And then proceeded to blow any sensible budget with the 18s, but what you gonna do
It took a while, but I just received my Genelecs 8030C, very happy with that decision.
Cheers for the heads-up!
