First version of my TouchOSC editor is out in the wild now:
That’s a good little combo with the kaoss pad ![]()
I recorded a few patches that I’ve been working on. I love the breadth of sounds you can make. These are all recorded straight from the DVNA.
No worries! I just contacted him.
These are great!
Also found this handy little Anker USB-C powerbank that, upside down, sits nicely on a tabletop with the DVNA. You can, of course, hold it in your hand with the powerbank attached but it might put strain on the USB-C socket. If you plug it in and then fold it upwards (the USB-C connector on the powerbank folds away when not in use) then it feel much more stable.
In this DVNA jam session, I explore the process of patch creation. https://youtu.be/4lXdZOZ_Bco
Hey!
By the way, doesn’t your DVNA switch into Safety Mode after a few minutes of use?
I tried using a similar small power bank, and unfortunately that happened to me because of the low current draw
Yaaay! Thanks for sharing and listening also! ^ ^
Odd, ive never seen that. Tried other powerbanks?
I have a pack of those stick-on magnetic rings coming. Reckon you stick on on the inside of the dvna case and make it work. Will test when they arrive this werk.
Yeah, I did. It only happened with the small power bank.
So yours didn’t shut down even after using it for a longer period of time?
Only when the charge was almost gone.
The little Anker one i have is actually quite high output - 22.5w
I’m using Anker or Momox brand power banks and they seem to work fine with the DVNA or other gear.
HELP - I connected my OXI E16 midi out via TRS1 to the DVNA midi in. Set all relevant channel and cc parameters. I can’t get the E16 to work with DVNA no matter what I tried. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
Not dvna related but check that the e16 is outputting to the relevant trs port. Caught me a few times
If you hold Button 1 and press Button 4 a few times (on the dvna) you will see a MIDI monitor. I think its 5 presses to get to it.
Yes I’ve set all that needed to be set as much as I know. MIDI out set out thru TRS1 and also made sure I plugged my TRS cable into “out1”
Yes I’ve also checked MIDI monitor on the DVNA. It does not respond to any incoming CC from the E16.
My DVNA also does not respond to any note or cc from my OP-XY.
Got any other TRS midi devices you could try? Both as a taget for the E16 and also as a source to send to the dvna?
Edit: sorry didnt see the OPXY comment.
Try a different TRS cable? Also, youre using a TRS/stereo cable and not a TR/mono one?
Which MID channel is dvna set to? E16 sendibg to same?
Hi Neil, yes i have tried several proper and good TRS (3.5mm stereo) currently in used and works with other eqpt. Both MIDI channels are set to 1 or any channel as long as both are the same.
