Dubathonic - White Vinyl Wave

Deep house messabout on MD and MnM w/ the OT used purely as a mixer (well I might have tweaked the xfader once or twice). Trying to finish it by this weekend’s gig.

As the synth line was developing I saw a big wave breaking in my mind, much like one on the seashore except pure white and made of some shiny synthetic material.

Could be just ear fatigue from my part as I’m just blasting away my own music, but I would lowpass filter pretty much all the sounds a bit. There was too much high frequency concent for my liking. I do prefer my deep house a bit muffled sounding though, so it could be just me.

Nice track though.

Nice laid back track. I feel like the high percussion (claps and hats) could be a bit louder, but like Barfunkle said, it could be ear fatigue on my part.

I also like the part around 4:30 there is a secondary organ sound…that could be played up as a nice new element in the second half of your track. It sounds kinda like dueling organs …pretty nice.

I love it, great groove and the tempo is just right. In contrary to previous comments I enjoy the spectrum, lots of high end shimmer is good to my old trashed ears!

when it comes to dubby house, i actually prefer quieter claps/hats,
main focus should be on chords and bass/kick

considering this is not multitracked/mixed, it actually sounds good

Sweet jam Chad, bringing my pre-dawn world together as I sip my first java. Didn’t have a problem with the high end, but like husc says, that could be an age factor.

Really enjoyed it, hope you get to bust it out at yer gig.

@highs: I agree with Barfunkel, Veets and Mihajlo please reduce/filter them a bit, at least when playing live on a PA system.
