this user needs some help plz.
My Track 13 is supposed to send Midi out to PC, thru USB. A midi machine is loaded.
USB is connected to PC. Al midi settings have bene made.
If i hit a pad on the DT2, the note is tranceived to my PC and received. It plays my VST-I. ( i`m not using Overbridge. Just plain USB midi ouit)
But if i run my sequenze is no note received on my PC. (I`m on mac)
So, my USB connection stands and works. At least some Midi settings within my DT2 are donne correct. I went thru all settings in the midi settings dialog.
The track is running a midi machine. All CCs, Bank, Prog, etc. are enabled.
The TRK CH setting is set to CH1. Exactly what my masterkeyboard sends out too.
When REC mode is disabled, hitting a trigger/Pad 13 on the DT2, my VST-I is played. But my running sequenze is not playing my VST-I
What are possible sources, pages on the DT where i might overlook something ? Looks to me like all should work. Just it doesn`t.
I want to use my DT2 as a Sequenzer for my VST-Is. (w.o. using OB)
What DAW are you using, if any?
ahh yes, i use Gig Performer. Which is special in that sense. But i know it good.
As sayed, the whole Midi connection itself is working.
Which is shown by the fact that when i manually hit the pads on the DT2, -no sequenzer running-, my VST-I is triggered, it plays.
I also run a Midi monitor and can see if midi data comes in.
When the sequenzer is running no midi data comes to my Host
Is the MIDI track muted on the DTII? Either pattern or global mutes?

Are you trying to enter notes from the master keyboard into the DT sequencer?
If so, you’ll probably need to enable receive notes on DT midi and use Auto-Channel instead of channel 1.
Or it could be muted as said above.
No, i try to sequenze a VST-I from my DT2.
I should not have mentioned the Masterkeyboard.
It just plays the same VST-I.
So, CH 1 was just a reference towards that this setting works.
PC with VST-I in my host = the synth
DT2 = The sequenzer

Did you check the track mutes? Global AND pattern?

Oh, you have there a point !
“per pattern” is definitly not on mute.
But i never use global. So ive not checked that. Im completly unused to use it.

Sequenzing now the Waldorf MW1 VST-I with my DT2.
Its just a test. Ill go thru some plugins.
Fisrt take out: Sequenzing a WT synth is harder than thought.
Seems to require a new workflow to get things under control, since set P-locks makes it hard to determ the setings on new locks on so far unlocked steps.
Gonna have to create a 2nd Track, sequenzing the same VST-I. So one track is to find the right settings for one step. Then copy that over to the og Track.
Then sample Audio phrases in the DT2, or wherever.
I do not work with DAWs.
The PC with all the possible post processing plugins just spits out a soundquality your next Elektron Box won`t do
