Maybe a stupid question, but i RTFM and cant find that one answered or iam missing something obvious:
Is it possible to syncronize a recording of a sample? Lets say i got a melody programmed on an external synth, modular what ever, but the first note of it isn’t on beat 1, its later than that. So, selecting “arm” on the DT2 doesn’t help me, starting the recording manualy doesn’t help me either cause i wouldn’t get it syncronized (or i do it like in the 90ies and hit “record” on DT2 with one hand and “start” on the external synth with another). So, is there a solution or a way to start the recording on beat 1, maybe let the DT2 tell the external synth to start playing if i start the recording?
Thanks in advance!

Are you recording from the DT Inputs?
Yes. I want to record an external Synth into the Digitakt 2. So i use the Inputs of the Digitakt 2 for that.
And your Synth is synced from the DT via MIDI?

There should be no issue. I’ve tested it this morning. Arm it and the source should be set on Inputs. You can also set the length. Press Play.

Yes, you can set the recording to start as soon as you press play on the DT2.

Ah ok, just like the suggestion from Tschu above was: I just let the DT2 be the master and control the external synth, and set the DT2 to start record when i hit “play” on it?!
If so: how i set the DT2 to start record when i press play on it?

Encoder G on the Recorder page. Labelled R.STRT on the screen.
