DT2 or AR2

For me, it’s worth it. I like what it does to the DT II.

I’m a huge fan of multiple LFOs as well… one AR mkII “hack” I’ve been doing is having two outs of the A4 MkII dedicated to the AR’s cv control ins, usually sending synced S/H LFOs at different note divisions that can then be routed to anything you want. Since I use S/H as a modulator(s) in nearly every sound I make, it feels a lot like the DT2 in that regard.

I do miss the stereo sampling from the DT2 and my old SP-16 (still a solid choice!) but I’ve been challenging myself to do stereo stuff in Ableton, and keep the mono (mostly percussive and noise) stuff in the AR. Even with the limitations there is a TON to explore in the AR, and having sampling onboard with the MkII really helps the workflow versus the Mk1 IMO.

just fyi, you can also route rytm individual outs > cv in and set them to expression instead of cv, it’s unpredictable but helluva modulation, I think that if you load a really low sample of sine wave/ramp etc it is looking more like lfo but it’s not as smooth as lfo. very cool thing to play with

you can try with the factory waves, but the lowest one in there C2 even pitched down 2 octaves (which is max) is still fast, you can generate your own single cycle lfo waves and just use them, like this one for example:

loop it, pitch it up and it will give you sine-ish lfo
