DT2 max sample size

Hi, I need a very specific information in order to convince myself to upgrading my DT: I know that you have 400mb for each project and you can record max 66 sec for each sample. So can you upload samples with a size of 66sec max? Or you can exceed it until 400mb?

Thank you

You can transfer samples that are much longer than 66 seconds to the DT +drive via the transfer application. I don’t know if you can load one sample that is 400mb, but I don’t see why not. Also don’t see how that would be fun to work with on DT though :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: but yeah I use multiple samples that are a few minutes long. Even did so on the first DT.

Note that when you preview a sample within DT on its +drive you can only preview the first 10 seconds. But you can load it into the project no problem.

How did you pick “solved”? Is there an option when you edit the original post?

There is an option under the answers that allow to do that…

I just looked in 3 topics that I started (original poster) and none of them have anything like that under any of the replies, did you have to do anything specific when you asked the question such as to indicate this is a question which needs an answer? Are you using the app and perhaps that’s the difference is that I’m on a computer? thanks.

One 400MB mono sample! :content:
I think so but iirc @LyingDalai said he experienced a limit…
I am curious about it, but I am not in the mood to try it for now…

Not solved imho.

The maximum sample size for a 16bit 48khz stereo sample over Transfer seems to be 59mb in my testing. I would imagine mono is the same but I’m not sure. This is about 5 minutes and 7 seconds

I wasn’t thinking straight, 59mb is 59mb. If that’s the transfer data limit then you’re probably right about it being the same for mono / stereo.

Well, I imagine it would be 59mb max either stereo or mono. Just wanted to point out I had only tried with a stereo sample

You think transfer hits a limit at 59mb? That would suck, but makes sense I guess.

I believe so! @pidgeo found the same thing here

kinda wack.

59mb is about 5 minutes and 7 seconds, so that’s the longest file we can transfer to the DTII at the moment

I changed the solution, thank you!

No, maybe is it a new feature?
