DT & OT midi synergy?

I admit to not having used my DT or OT for some time lately, but a random thought crossed my mind today, the DT could be used to creatively control the OT via midi, the 8 midi tracks of the DT could be mapped to the 8 audio (or midi) tracks of the OT to give the OT some sequencing and sampling mojo.

For example:

Have the DT trigger the OT tracks which are set as plays free, have the DT control recording on the OT - could get quite interesting with trig conditions, have the DT send CC to the OT etc etc.

Anyone done anything similar yet? Could be a lot of creative possibilities there I think.

this sounds like a dope idea. Im also trying to find ways to wrap my head around this setup scheme, as i want to add an OT alongside my DT.
