It’s all in the title. Is it possible to choose the destination folder for the samples, or does it have to be “recorded”, and no way around that?
Thanks.

It’s certainly possible on DTMk1
Apologies I’m not in front of it now to check but I believe you get there by the left button that you would normally use for microtimimg and the option is there when you’re in the samples menu
Sample menu, you mean Recorder? With the left arrow (left/right arrows for microtiming), nothing happens.
Thanks for the try anyway.
I’d love to know this too
I’ve not seen a way on the DT2 and the manual makes no mention of it either
Sorry I’ll have to check when I’m home but I have definitely used that function, I’ll get back to you later if nobody else replies
Just checked, and I don’t think so. The “Upload to Here” menu item in folders seems to apply just to the drag-and-drop feature for Transfer. I use copy-and-paste for names, then move the samples in one go when I’m done.
Would love an option to click right when naming and saving a recording to say where it goes. I’d like to have my sessions samples all in the same folder
Did you had the time to have a look ?
There’s no such function. Not on mk1 either. There is a move function. You can select multiple samples in the browser and move them to another folder. Select the samples, then right arrow and choose the option that is called “sel. to move”. Go to the target folder’ right arrow, choose ‘move here’
Ok thanks. It could be nice to add that in the future, if Elektron is reading this.
Sorry, my bad for not getting back yesterday I checked and you can only change folder to “upload here” for transfers and saving but not for sampling
Ok, thanks.
