DT audio mute via midi tracks?

Hi, newish Digitakt user here. I’m exploring ways of ‘muting’ audio.
I want to toggle long samples from full volume to zero volume in an improvisational way. Is it possible to use the midi tracks to control parameters in the sample tracks in this way?

For example, pressing track 9 makes track 1 jump from full vol to zero vol and zero to full when to pressed again? Many thanks for any advice!

Via midi tracks specifically? Only if sequenced externally via the “scene hack” to make a zero-volume trig which will mute everything (which is demonstrated in the first video shortly after the time stamp) and even if so, only if that trig is physically held until the mute is complete, it’s not a latching feature.

Despite him calling it a bug, elektron later said it’s a feature, so who knows.

Again, only if sequenced externally.

Otherwise use the conventional, much discussed, easily searchable methods for muting long audio in the way that you’ve described.

You might be able to do something with midi loopback but I don’t mess with midi loopback enough to tell you how, and it would still probably not be how you’re envisioning it.
