Drum loops help batch process

Hey, anyone up for a little teamwork on some drum loops?

I don’t have internet except for my phone atm and spent an hour downloading all these loops (individually!) to my phone then transferred to laptop .

http://www.phatdrumloops.com/beats.php

They all play ok on my phone and on Windows media player. And they import normally when dragged in to sonar x3.

But on OT a bunch of them showed as Error. So I went back to laptop and tried to batch process and in all the software I currently have that batch converts, the same files that error aren’t opening. Though these files import ok to sonar x3 and windows media player like I mentioned…

Was ballache to download them and I don’t have time to sit and separate the ones with issues then manually convert one at a time via sonar.

Anyone with better software down for handling the batch conversion if I upload them all to wetransfer? Then send them back all ready for OT?

Some real nice loops scattered in the collection and obvs a ton of scope for slicing etc. We could make them available for other elektronauts too. Let me know if anyone’s up for helping out and I’ll upload everything I downloaded.

Thanks.

A quick glance at the first page on the link provided, I´m not sure if those WAV-formats are possible to use with the OT. That could explain the error messages. Can you convert one of the files (that gives you an error) into raw wav and try again? Try that first before any batch procedures…

If I were you I would refrain from re-uploading, a quote from the site:

Ah, didn’t see that legal stuff  thanks for heads up.
I can’t convert the files that ‘error’ in OT at all, as the Batch Convert tools I have here (only Audacity + Voxengo R8) won’t import those problem files :frowning: Annoying, took me forever to download all the loops!

[li]No problem.[/li]
[li]Sorry, I meant convert them to raw wav in your computer. OT doesn´t do any conversion.[/li]

Yeh I know what you meant  sorry my phrasing was weird. I mean my computer conversion software won’t open the files that error on OT.

Can anyone recommend some free software that does batch convert and is likely to be able to work with these problem files?

I just found that Reaper won’t open them either. But my phone (htc m8, stock player), Windows media player, sonar x3 open them ok. But none of these do batch convert

Audacity perhaps?

IIRC, I think someone here on the forum was doing batch conversion with that program…

Thanks man but I already tried Audacity and it’s not opening the files that error on OT.
Guess I’ll just skip using the error files til I have time to convert them individually with Sonar.

Hi,

the OT is a sampler, that can actually sample
I would try to playback the files on a device that can playback the files and straight sample the stuff into my OT. That also works for vinyls :+1:

Yeh normally I’d do that but there are 500+ loops and I just had a new baby girl born a few weeks ago, and I have two other daughters under 4yrs… free time/patience is scarce  i liked the idea of just loading the loops on to OT and having them there on tap to slice etc with rest of my audio pool. I’ll just put them aside for now and deal with them in a few months when home life isn’t total chaos!
