Really like that babbling brook sort of sound. That’s my own test of a good synth - can it do abstract semi-random stuff like this? How did you do this one?
Hey puxflux - intense and trippy - nice one. The MnM still sounds great to me. I have most of the Elektron stuff (no Rytm) and i still think its my fav.
seenfromspace - my track was all sample manipulation on the OT. There was a group challenge to create tracks using only the Wilhelm scream sample as source material. There were some pretty freaky efforts!
Awesome guys - filosofem your track is really broody and ominous and i liked the vid a lot too (especially the spinning face thing - freaky)
OH/EX/OH - I haven’t had a chance to listen to all of New Horizon but the first track (Look to the Stars) is very nice. Some great sounds in there. Singularity has a nice dark spaceshippy thing going on. The high pitched tones reminded me of a jam i did with my modular rig and Sonic Potions LXR (the second phase of it)
probably harsher and gloomier than most will be able to hang with but here’s a decent chunk of various grime crusted loops, grave-dirt tones, eerie dying-star kosmiche ambience, and post industrial drones to ruin your day:
lots of different gear configurations/ recording methods used on various trax but there’s definitely a lot of elektron action happening. mostly OT as a live-looper, efx processor + running samples of contact mics and scrap metal, a bit of A4 on a few trax, and some monomachine FM.

Very post apocalyptic and ominous. Kind of dystopian soundscape - I had to listen on my iPad unfortunately but still got the message! Nicely done.
I made a wee music video for Look To The Stars, you can peep it here. The video uses open source footage from ESO
I also made a video for an track from a few years back. More drone. The video was filmed around my hometown of Rochdale (North Manchester). Pretty apocalyptic
Hey Bloke, thanks for your kind words, that is it’s intention. A dark reflection of a self-righteous institution that controls mankind’s behavior. The ‘spinning faces’ is the Regret Water (Messy Reality) sculpture by Sam Mahon in Hagley Park - Christchurch, New Zealand. Incidentally, a vast majority of that video was captured in Hagley Park during our last dark Winter. The Regret Water sequence is most peoples favorite. The grave statue shot in that same sequence was captured at the Akaroa Roman Catholic and Dissenters cemetery on Banks Peninsula - Canterbury, New Zealand. Banks Peninsula, named after Joseph Banks of the HMS Endeavour - British Royal Navy (Research Vessel) 1769-1771.

Hey - i heard its grim Up North but… Actually that second vid is really cool. I’d say relaxing but thats not right. Its sort of melancholic and reflective but weirdly soothing despite the sometimes decaying visuals. The soundtrack is great.
