Soon Also patch naming.
My LFO + WAV buttons are fine! But after 2 sessions, the LFO 2 PW fader started to act as if it was moving, the data for the knob on screen was glitching in an upward direction consistently. I put in a ticket for a return but Juno is out of stock! I wonder if this could be a firmware fix or if the hardware is broken?
Yes. Thank you. Iāve asked the same question via email on the Dreadbox website. I guess itās faster via Elektronauts.
If they are not going to give patch names at least give us categories. My patches are also all over the place as Iām not sure if Iām saving over an init patch or one of mine.
Yes had the same issue but it seemed to start work normally after using it for a couple of days.
Thanks for the follow up @enjaks !
My bad I see Alexandros from Dreadbox has already said patch naming coming. Great to hear.
Coming soon.
Had a wee shot of it today, well it was meant to be a wee shot, and 4 hours later thought I better get around to cutting the grass! Really enjoying it but finding the envelopes a bit clicky with a short decay and fast attack, more so than my other synths.
As weāre already talking about the patches: can you just wipe it clean and put an init patch in every patch? That you can then save over once youāve made a nice patch? I canāt say I liked the presets from demos (as usually), and that seems to be a synth were you better just start filling up banks in each session.
Thatās what I mentioned in the video notes, the EGs are nothing alike, I couldnāt match the Murmux settings. I havenāt tried the other way around though. The mixer is also very different. Murmux adds volume with 2 oscs and Artemis drops volume with 2 to attempt a compensation/match. There is no off position to be able to play the resonance. I need to try the different drive settings but first try seemed that it wouldnāt track well anyway, it has a dirtier sound at high resonance. Definitely a different filter chip. Artemis filter has much better bass compensation with resonance. I guess you canāt have both qualities in one filter.
Ohh interesting I didnāt click through so didnāt see the video notes, my bad! Thatās fascinating, thanks for the rundown!
Really loving the physical UI ā the size and faders feel spot on for jamming. The menuās a bit rough around the edges but Iām happy to wait. Just a few little quality-of-life tweaks Iād love to see:
- The LFO wav buttons LED could flash in sync LFO speed to see the pulse. Immediately knowing what the LFO was going when loading a patch.
- A modmatrix similar to Typhon to visualise the modulation assignments.
- A Panel mode shortcut, so all knobs reflect their current position. - The VCA button with three settings could have its state saved with each patch.
- Menu could have āPersonalizeā section, like Digitakt II, to turn on off features to suit everyones UI needs or use cases.
- Key tracking for LFO rate.
- Pattern Names
- Random Mod Source in menu like Take 5, so it doesnāt waste an LFO to assign.
- 6 x dots on the screen UI, when looking at a patch name, to show voices playing.
- Highlight the saved preset knob position. Next to the current value with a number.
- Fade on LFO 2 (would have to be in menu) - LFO repeat amount, like novation peak.
Can anyone tell me about these buttons for the LFOs.
For the 2 wav buttons and the sync button when I press them they light up when cycling through the options and then the LEDs are off after pressing them. But if I press and hold a button for a couple of seconds the LED will stay lit. And they stay lit even after changing presets. Is this doing something? I did not see anything in the manual about it.
Am i missing something as well? there isnt very much modulation option for the LFOās. I mean i read the manual. There is nothing in the menu i missed?
All in all it seems like a great synth and im super excited to get some time off to make more patches. Sounds great!
Confirmed in the soncistate video that theyāll be bringing MIDI CC in and out in about a month - yes!
