Yeah so sine waves/noise into various filthy saturators, overdrives, distortions, fuzzes, waveshapers with various wet/dry settings and clippers/limiters. Pushing basic waves to extremes via effects processing basically. ![]()
The signal chain was really cool and yielded some incredible results but that’s kinda missing the point of the presentation isn’t it?
Change the process. Change the outcome.
This speaks to me. This video showed up when I needed it most. I’ve been in a deep rut of practicing the same few comfortable writing and recording processes, churning out similar results for the past year or so and I’ve been bored to death of it.
I’m reminded of a time when I’d come up with some technical idea, challenge, or curiosity, combined with some musical creativity and making music was fun. Put some elbow grease into and get my hands dirty, rather than take the path of least resistance. It always made for better results and a more enjoyable process.
